Shoween Leimer Obituary

Shoween Leimer, a beloved mother, cherished sister, special grandmother, and beloved wife, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2023, in Westminster, California. Born and raised in Taiwan, Shoween was a woman of strength, faith, and gentleness, whose life was marked by selfless dedication to her family and her faith.

Shoween was born in Taiwan, where she grew up and attended school.  She had 3 sisters and 2 brothers and as the oldest, took care of her siblings often.  Her life took a romantic turn in the summer of 1972 when she met Clarence H. Leimer, who was traveling on business. Their love story unfolded over a long-distance relationship, and they married a year later. Their love was a testament to their commitment, enduring over 39 years of marriage until Clarence's passing in 2012.

Shoween was the proud mother of six children: Edward who married Ha, Julie who married Tongel, Paul who is with Traci, Norman, Grace who married Armando, and Susan. She was also a cherished grandmother to eight grandchildren: Sophia and Chloe, Joshua and Brandon, Tiffany and Carolyn, Logan and Hunter. Her family was her pride and joy, and she dedicated much of her life to their care and upbringing.

Professionally, Shoween worked at JC Penney's Department Store and as a Medical Biller, demonstrating a strong work ethic and dedication. However, she considered her role as a homemaker to be her most important job. She devoted her time and energy to raising her children, always putting their needs before her own.

Shoween was a woman of many interests. She loved spending time in her garden, tending to her beautiful plumeria plants. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of watching hummingbirds, taking long walks, and losing herself in a good book. These peaceful moments brought her great joy and tranquility.

One of Shoween's defining characteristics was her strong Christian faith. She was a faithful woman who lived her beliefs daily, providing a spiritual example for her family. Her faith-filled life was a testament to her character and the legacy she leaves behind.

Remembering Shoween, words that come to mind are faith-filled, selfless, and gentle. She was a woman who lived her life with grace, humility, and kindness. Her unwavering faith, her selfless devotion to her family, and her gentle spirit have left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Shoween's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire and guide her family in the years to come.

Shoween Leimer will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the family she loved so dearly. As we remember her, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by faith, love, and an unwavering commitment to family. Rest in peace, Shoween, knowing you have left a lasting legacy of love and faith.
