Joseph Rafael Moreno, a man of grace,
Born in Orange, CA, in '88, a loving face.
He left us on a summer day,
In Garden Grove, he drifted away.
Survived by family, loving and kind,
His mother Anna Marie Gallardo, in his mind.
Joe Gallardo, his father, strong and tall,
Brother Matthew, sisters three, he loved them all.
Alisha Gallardo, Michelle Rodriguez, Cheyenne Guitron,
Their bond unbroken, not easily torn.
Six nieces and nephews, their Uncle Joe,
A family tree that will continue to grow.
In the halls of El Modena High, he learned and grew,
His mind was always working, that much we knew.
He hustled, he worked, he earned his keep,
His labor's love, his commitment deep.
A man of many interests, of simple delight,
Food and eating, his appetite never light.
Crossword puzzles, books in hand,
In the world of words, he'd often land.
His love for music, a melody sweet,
A rhythm, a beat, that moved his feet.
His mind always turning, a constant flow,
A man of thought, always on the go.
Loving, faith-filled, selfless too,
Words that describe him, every one true.
His life a testament, a loving song,
In our hearts, he will forever belong.
"Life is short, there is no time to leave important words unsaid."
A quote from Paulo Coelho, that in his heart he'd often read.
Joseph Rafael Moreno, a life well-lived,
To us, his love, he'd always give.
Though he's gone, his spirit remains,
In our hearts, his memory reigns.
