Julie Maack Obituary

Julie Gail Maack, a beacon of kindness and wisdom, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2024, in Orange, California. Born on March 2, 1949, in Inglewood, California, Julie's gentle spirit and intelligent mind graced this world for 75 years.

A proud graduate of Inglewood High School, Julie carried the lessons of her youth throughout her life. She furthered her education at a local Junior College, where she honed the skills that would serve her well in her professional journey. Julie spent the majority of her career as a diligent bookkeeper, a role in which her keen attention to detail and love for order shone brightly.

Julie's life was one of quiet joy and contentment. She found solace in the pages of People's Magazine, working on crossword puzzles with a determination that matched her intellectual curiosity. A true sports aficionado, she cheered with fervor for her beloved LA Dodgers and LA Lakers, her voice a familiar cheer in the livingroom. Jeopardy evenings were a highlight, as she playfully competed to answer questions first, much to the delight of her family and friends.

Her home was her sanctuary, where she relished in the simple pleasures of life. She could often be found sitting outside, a steaming cup of Folgers Coffee in hand, as she shared treats with neighborhood dogs and engaged in warm conversations with neighbors. Julie's pets, especially her favorite cat Rufus, were her cherished companions, and she cared for them with the same love and dedication she showed to all living creatures.

Julie was the embodiment of intelligence, kindness, and wisdom. She was the voice of reason to many, a source of great advice, and a guiding light in times of uncertainty. Her presence had a calming effect on those around her, and her counsel was sought after by friends and family alike.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and integrity, survived by her two devoted sons, Brien and Kevin Maack. Her spirit will live on through her granddaughters, Alice Feldman and Kendal Maack, and her grandson-in-law, Jacob Robinson. They, along with the many lives she touched, will continue to celebrate the beautiful tapestry of memories she has left behind.

Julie Gail Maack will be deeply missed, yet her influence will continue to be felt. Her life's story will be told with affection and her lessons carried forward. As we bid her farewell, we do so with the knowledge that her warmth, her laughter, and her unwavering support will always be a part of us. Rest in peace, dear Julie, and thank you for the love you shared and the wisdom you imparted.
